What the chauffeur service covers

Your driver is assigned to your booking for an agreed duty period and stays with the vehicle between engagements, so the car is available when you come out of a meeting rather than half an hour away. He handles the driving and the parking; the itinerary is yours. Drivers working capital bookings are expected to present themselves appropriately for the type of engagement, which is why it helps to tell us up front whether the work is corporate, official, family or tourism. Entry procedures at some buildings and enclaves in Islamabad require the driver's particulars in advance, so flag that when you book and we will supply them.

Duty hours and what the rate covers

Settle four things before the vehicle is dispatched: the start time, the expected finish, whether the driver stays throughout the day or is released between engagements, and how additional hours are treated if the schedule overruns. Fuel and any tolls should be agreed in the same conversation, along with whether the booking stays inside Islamabad or crosses out of it, since in-city and out-of-city rates differ. None of this is complicated, but an unspoken assumption about an eight o'clock finish is the single most common cause of an awkward conversation at ten.

Booking from a distance

Our one office is in Karachi, in Gulistan-e-Johar, and Islamabad bookings are arranged from there rather than at a counter in the capital. In practice that means two things for you. First, give more notice than you would for a same-city hire, particularly for larger vehicles, executive cars and peak travel weeks. Second, confirm everything in writing by email if your plans involve fixed appointments, so the itinerary, the vehicle class and the agreed terms are all in one place you can refer back to.

Airport collections

For a pick-up at Islamabad International Airport, send the flight number, the arrival date and time, the passenger count and the amount of luggage, then ask how waiting time is handled if the flight lands late. Luggage is the detail people leave out and regret: four passengers with four large suitcases do not fit in a sedan, and sorting that out in the arrivals hall is nobody's idea of a good start. Day trips with the driver

Journeys out of Islamabad, whether towards Rawalpindi or further into the hills, are booked on the out-of-city basis and need the return timing discussed in advance, because mountain roads and weekend traffic both make the homeward leg longer than the outbound one.
