Where Sakrand fits on the map

Sakrand is a town in Shaheed Benazirabad district in central Sindh, close to Nawabshah and sitting on the road network that links the interior of the province to Hyderabad and on to Karachi. For most people renting a car here, the town is one end of an intercity journey rather than a place where a vehicle spends the whole day circulating. That shapes how we price and plan these bookings: the emphasis falls on the route, the timing and who is driving, not on hourly city running.

How the service reaches the town

Pak Dream Rentals runs a single office, in Gulistan-e-Johar in Karachi, and vehicles are dispatched from there with a driver. There is no counter in Sakrand, so a booking works in one of two ways. Either the car travels up to collect you, in which case we agree the reporting time and the positioning arrangement in advance, or the duty starts in Karachi and Sakrand is the destination. Either way the vehicle stays with its driver throughout; we do not hand over an unaccompanied car.

Requests connected with this town follow a small number of patterns. Families travelling between Karachi and the interior for weddings, funerals and seasonal visits make up the largest share, usually as a return duty over two or three days. A sedan such as the Altis X covers two to four adults with moderate luggage. Once a family is travelling with children and grandparents, the BR-V or Karvaan Plus gives the extra row without a large jump in price. The Hiace is the usual answer for extended families moving together for a function, and the Fortuner is chosen when the last part of a journey leaves metalled road. A Coaster is worth considering only when the party is genuinely large.

One-way drops and return duties

A one-way drop is quoted differently from a return duty, because the vehicle and driver still have to get back. If you only need the outbound leg, say so at the booking stage rather than after the journey, and we will price it as a drop. If you want the car to stay with you for two or three days, the quote covers the daily rate for each day plus the driver's allowance and an overnight charge for nights spent away from base.

Costs on top of the rate, and getting the timing right

The figures above are vehicle rates. For intercity work, fuel, motorway and road tolls, the driver's allowance and overnight charges are agreed separately, and a mileage limit is set for each day with a rate for anything beyond it. Ask us to confirm all four in writing before you commit. It takes a minute at the booking stage and removes any argument at the end of a long trip.

Long Sindh road duties are more comfortable started early, both for the temperature and for the traffic on the approaches to Hyderabad and Karachi.
