What B6 and B7 armour means in practice

The armour grade describes what the shell of the vehicle is built to stop. A B6 build is the common working standard for executive protection in Pakistan and is specified against high-velocity rifle rounds; B7 is a heavier build above it. Both add considerable weight, which changes how the vehicle accelerates, brakes and handles a corner. That is the main reason we do not hand armoured keys to a client. Suspension, brakes and tyres on these cars are uprated to carry the load, and a driver who has not trained on a loaded armoured chassis will misjudge stopping distance on the first hard brake.

Glass is the part clients notice first. Armoured laminate is thick, the side windows generally do not drop, and ventilation runs entirely through the climate system. If you are planning a long day of movement with several passengers, tell us in advance so the vehicle goes out pre-cooled and the driver plans stops sensibly.

Drivers assigned to armoured work

Armoured chauffeurs are chosen for temperament as much as skill. They hold their lane, keep following distance wide enough to pull out of a stopped queue, and do not improvise shortcuts through unfamiliar lanes. Where a client has its own security adviser, our driver takes instruction from that adviser on routing and timing; where the client has none, the driver will still ask for the day's schedule in advance so arrival and departure points are known rather than discovered.

For multi-vehicle movement we can put a support car behind the armoured lead, with both drivers briefed together before the first pickup. Tell us at the enquiry stage if the trip involves a fixed appointment time, because that changes how early the convoy stages.
